We need 400 captains.
Every Vidhan Sabha in India is won at the booth level. You don't need political experience. You need 4 hours a day for 30 days, and the respect of your neighbours.
What a booth captain does
- Maintain a list of voters in your booth (we provide the roll)
- Identify supporters and undecided voters
- Run 2 door-to-door visits (once early in the campaign, once in the last week)
- Make sure your supporters turn out on polling day
- Be the polling agent on election day (we'll train you)
What we provide
- The voter roll for your booth (printed + digital)
- A 2-hour training session, in person
- A booth captain kit (badge, list, basic supplies)
- A team lead you can call anytime
- Reimbursement of any expenses (auto/tea/photocopy) on production of receipt
What it costs you
- ~4 hours/day for ~30 days, mostly evenings and weekends
- Patience, especially with people who disagree
- Respect for the voters — no pressure, no inducements
